by the way, visions, I did an online search for Hux Flux and found this place calles PsyShop. Looks like they not only have Kryptic Crunch but Hux Flux has an even newer CD out. I took a listen to Synchro and liked their stuff a lot too - it was the same type of thing but darker and less synthy (ie the synths were in a character where they sounded more like realistic mechanical sounds - loved that).
Only thing is I think that seems to be the primary sound of psytrance; making the listener in a rave tent or at a live show feel like they're in the machine city of the 3rd Matrix. That's slick and all, just that its almost overdone at this point. I guess the trick is just going back and finding the best of the best right?
Oh yeah I forget about PsyShop: but it says the Hux Flux items are 'not available'. I know what you mean about the way some genres of music make you feel that you’re in some virtual place. For me techno is the type of music that I envisage being in some future or industrial city – especially the older techno from Detroit.
Some sets I’ve being listening to:
Deep Dish - Live @ Dance Valley 2005, 06-08-05
Paul van Dyk - Live @ Nature One 2005, 05-08-05
Armin van Buuren - Live @ Nature One 2005, 06-08-05
