I love how your drawings shine!

Another drawing of Andromeda, Perseus's love interest from Greek mythology, but this time I've given her a more active pose than usual. The traditional Greek myths portray her as a stereotypical damsel in distress being offered to a sea monster, but what if she was capable of taking care of herself when not chained up to a rock?

For all their anatomical inaccuracies, the tyrannosaurs from the Jurassic Park movies have always ranked among my favorite T. Rexes from any form of popular culture. In fact I still like to imagine that the real Tyrannosaurus rex roared exactly like the one in JP. As a tribute to the JP franchise, I've drawn an updated version of their T. Rex with a mane of protofeathers. However, the teeth here actually owe their inspiration to King Kong, as real tyrannosaurs apparently didn't have mammal-style lips.

Wow... some amazing artwork in this thread.

Here's a shot I took today of a Moai I'm carving in oak for my mum's birthday.

Image

It's not quite finished yet.

... and here's my latest green oak frame:

[img][800:470]http://sessile-oak.co.uk/picture_library/FGalPE.jpg[/img]

I took about five and a half tons oak oak and three months in the workshop to make the structural frame which, once on site, took two and a half hours to put up.

Singapore

I sketched this jungle landscape without any particular real-world location in mind, but I decided to name it after a beautiful country I lived in for six years of my childhood. Our house in Singapore was a short drive away from this lush, primordial jungle that I loved to gaze at from our car. It really stimulated my imagination, and I liked to pretend that there were dinosaurs, leopards, and giant snakes lurking in there.

This is the uniform of the Imperial High Guard (High Guard for short) from my book.

The High Guard is an elite branch of the Imperial Guard (which is it's self a branch of the Imperial Defense Force (IDF)). They are responsible for keeping the Emperor/Empress and there immediate family safe. The members of the High Guard are picked from the best of the IDF and Imperial Guard. Unlike the Imperial Guard, which is under the command of the Fleet Admiral of the IDF, the High Guard is answerable only to th Emperor/ Empress and his/her immediate family. This has resulted in a bit of friction between them and the IDF and Imperial Guard, including more then one occasion in which the High Guard has shot an IDF solder for getting too close too a member of the imperial family (the High Guard warns people to stay away by being there, try to get past and they shoot to kill).

My ideal casting for a hypothetical cinematic adaptation of my fantasy story Bride of Perseus.
My gut instinct was to choose Sam Worthington for Perseus, as he played that character in the Clash of the Titans movies. However, I switched to Christian Bale partly because he fit my personal mental image of Perseus far better than Sam Worthington, and the general consensus among moviegoers seems to be that Christian is the superior actor anyway.

On the other hand, Jeremy Irons would make an excellent Poseidon. He makes terrific bad guys.

Another experimental cover for Bride of Perseus. This time I drew and colored the background myself and chose a bolder, more African-looking font. I like this more than the last cover.

Decided to brighten up the highlights a bit in response to my mom's critique.
