Alright, this is kind of a difficult topic, honestly. It's hard in the first place to do something other than just list songs from my favorite bands, especially considering that the OP said that he listens to pretty much everything. He also said that metal was his least favorite and doesn't want anything that's too “in your face,” but Napalm Death is about as in your face as it gets, and he reacted very well to the ND song I posted. Further, I'm not sure what he is and isn't familiar with already. Since I'm not sure what would be appropriate to post, I'll just dump some YouTube links for him to check out if he's interested, representing my favorites from certain genres. As you can see, my tastes are very, um, varied. Good luck finding anyone else who listens to both Napalm Death and ABBA. Anyway, hope you find something you like.

Ministry - Thieves (industrial metal)

KMFDM - Juke Joint Jezebel (industrial)

Johnny Cash - Cocaine Blues (country)

Faith No More - Midlife Crisis (alternative rock?)

Kylie Minogue - Love At First Sight (pop)

ZZ Top - Tush (classic rock)

Joe Cocker - Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood (blues rock?)

Placebo - This Picture (pop rock)

Dir en grey - Vinushka (J-Rock)

Frederic Chopin - Nocturne in C-sharp Minor (classical)

Traci Lords - Control (techno)

The Prodigy - Breathe (electronic dance)

Slayer - Raining Blood (thrash/speed/death metal)

Silverchair - Spawn Again (alternative rock)

Beastie Boys - Pass the Mic (rap)

Geto Boys - Still (rap)

Fear Factory - Martyr (death/industrial metal)

Stevie Wonder - Higher Ground (soul/pop/funk)

ABBA - Dancing Queen (disco)

I guess when I say "in your face" I mean like they're so into the song(singer) that you can barely understand what they're saying without a lyric page open in front of you while you listen. Thats part of the reason I used to not like metal in the first place, cuz I could never find any lyric sheets for what I was streaming. Sorry for not making that clear. The kind of stuff I used to listen to with my friends was stuff like Slipknot(like whatever albums they had out around the 2004-2009 time zone) Opeth, Cradle of Filth, Slayer, Coheed and Cambria, Trivium, Five Finger Death Punch, and Avenged Sevenfold, most of which I liked the music to, but just COULD NOT for whatever reason, find a lyric sheet for, so I couldn't exactly understand what they were saying all the time(I don't like Slipknot as much as the others though)

So sorry....should've made that more clear first. =S

I can't relate too much, since Slipknot always struck me as a bad Fear Factory rip-off and I'd rather slam my hand in a car door than listen to Avenged Sevenfold, but to each their own. I hope you've found something enjoyable, whatever your tastes.

By the way, since you seemed interested in Napalm Death, I put together a list of some of their better songs from the span of their career for you to sample. As you can hear, they evolved quite a bit, going from grindcore to death metal to thrash and back again. In fact, there isn't a single original member left, so none of the musicians who play on the first song listed below play on the others. The song in the third link is when the modern version of the band really started.

Scum (from Scum, 1987)

From Enslavement to Obliteration (from From Enslavement to Obliteration, 1988)

Suffer the Children (from Harmony Corruption, 1990)

The World Keeps Turning (from Utopia Banished, 1992)

Plague Rages (from Fear, Emptiness, Despair, 1994)

Greed Killing (from Diatribes, 1996)

Breed to Breathe (from Inside the Torn Apart, 1997)

Next of Kin to Chaos (from Words from the Exit Wound, 1998)

Fracture in the Equation (from Enemy of the Music Business, 2000)

Honestly, I kind of stopped following them after this, so I can't really recommend anything from later, but this should be a good sample.

Jory, Napalm Death are amazing.

I personally stopped listening after 'Fear, Emptiness and Despair".

That album; "Scum", "F.E.T.O.", and "Harmony Corruption" are their finest. :)

Do you know what I hate, even though I haven't seen it?

Tobuscus.

The Reason?

Everyone at the school I used to go to talked about this guy like he was known widely across the internet.

Idiots.

They also hate Half-life for no good reason than that they think it's overrated and that Halo:Reach is better. This is completely ironic to me, since Half-life is better, and not as overrated.

What is your thoughts on this?
