I play fretless bass, and I have converted two of my own basses from fretted to fretless. PM me if you have any questions; it's pretty much the same procedure for a guitar as it is for a bass.

Will do - I was looking at this guide:

Right now, I'm hoping to wait until warmer weather gets here because a friend of mine has a woodshop in his garage that he'll let me use, which should allow a lot more working space than I currently have, as well as access to all the necessary tools.
