FAVEOURITE BANDS ,SINGERS ETC
My number one favorite band is Orgy. The other big ones are Marilyn Manson, Evanescence, Zeromancer, Dark Sanctuary, Deadstar Assembly, Kidneythieves, Celldweller, A Perfect Circle, The Kovenant, Emilie Autumn, and Nightwish.
EDIT: Forgot to put my favorite singers. Tarja Turunen (ex-Nightwish), Dame Pandora (Dark Sanctuary), Amy Lee (Evanescence), Jay Gordon (Orgy), Maynard James Keenan (Tool, A Perfect Circle), Free Dominguez (ex-Kidneythieves, now solo...sadly), Adam Gontier (Three Days Grace).

What are they like?
They are very difficult to describe.
Tool portray a message that pretty much has an obvious, crude, depressing image on the surface, but once you look deeper you feel the true meaning of the lyrics and music.
Check out Aenema, Lateralus and 10000 days (in that order) if you want to hear amazing albums.
I guess you could call them progressive rock, though they've defined a sound that can't be found elsewhere.
They touch on almost every topic, spirituality, christianity, violence, hate, theft, and portray it in a way that at first seems to only be negative, but you can find the opposite message in almost every song.
They release an album about once every 5 years, which kind of shows how much hard work they put into the music and the message.
I feel they're a band that will be remembered as one of the defining aspects of this century.

Just to name a few
people keep tellin me I need to open my mind and listen to a wider range of music, I havent really ever heard anything I like on the radio ever before but i do dig music, I usually work with a mp3 player to block the radios from the people around me at work.
I dont know how much wider i should make my range of music, I already listen to rockabilly, psychobilly, hot rod, surf, a bit of swing and the odd punk bit here and there like sex pistols and sometimes i even listen to country, usually rockabillyish country or countryish rockabilly.
here is some of the bands-
Stray cats-
this is well known rockabilly band from the 80's
Brian Setzer orchestra-
Brian setzer is the lead singer and guitarist from stray cats, he experimented in the 90's by adding a full orchestra to his guitar, he kind of started a modern mix of rockabilly and swing.
Reverend Horton heat-
If you like psychobilly or rockabilly and you are breaking up, the reverend has the coolest break up songs like "were in the hell did you go with my toothbrush, galaxie 500 and liqour beer and wine, he also sings about steak, cocaine, pretty girls, hot rods and pigs. Reverend horton heat music pops up in many movies and video games.
Dick Dale-
Dick Dale is a surf guitar pioneer, he invented loud fast guitar, fender and jbl had to get together to make a amp speaker package to handle the new sound, people like Jimi hendrix thought of him as the best guitarist ever, he never went big, i dont think he wanted too but his music came out again with the movie "pulp fictoin" and a recent black eyed peas song called pump it or something (i dont listen to black eyed peas) is basicly one of his songs with there own words added. This was my favoute music for cruising around beaches with and i often played it on the highway, some songs are about cars and were favourites when i would be waiting to stage at the drags before a race.
Los straightjackets-
This is i guess kind off a surf band, they have a real cool sound wich i play alot when i am working on the car or feel like getting creative, they even have a song called "WRONG PLANET" its all instrumental and all cool, some favourites are the munsters theme and theme for young lovers.
Hot Rod Trio-
This is a rockabilly band that has heaps songs about hot rods, great stuff for getting motorvated to work on my machine.
Splatter-
This is a odd one, they seem to have dissapeared, I would describe them as psychobilly, I doubt many people have it but i love it, its good when i am trying to get going in the morning and need some hard music to get me going.
The blue hawiians-
This is kind of another surf band, one for a cocktail bar by the beach, its a bit more mellow than the surf of guys like dick dale and probably slightly smoother
anyway, some other bands i frequently play are-
The Duals
the stickshifts
dragstrip 77
Blazing haley
link wray
eddie cochran
the cramps
the ventures
big bad voodoo daddy
the hellbilly's
tiger army
supersuckers
