I'm gonna post a GWAR song here. GWAR is a band with a theme of being warlords & they've been around since the 90s. Their songs are meant to be taken in jest. Just because I can relate to a violent song rite now does NOT mean that I am turning to violence or that I am encouraging others to do so. Listening to this song is a release of anger, despair, frustration, & disappointment. I'm NOT trying to turn this thread into a political debate/discussion. I am just posting this song & lyrics. Here is the GWAR song titled,
El Presidente

[Verse 1]
I want to kill the president and I don't need a gun
I want to f**k the government, I want to f**k a nun
I want to paint the world in blood and pave the streets in bone
The killing won't come to an end until I take the throne

Just stop and smell the decay
Of what you've given your life to build
Your struggle was always in vain
Your dreams have been killed
You underestimate our influence
Cursed by addiction to your affluence

[Chorus]
[Beefcake:] There's a simple reason why your country's crying out in pain
[Jizmak:] You've ignored your neighbor now your house is going up in flames
[Balsac:] Imbeciles all showed us when they squeezed into the voting booths
[Pustulus:] America should be afraid of television, wars, and truth

[Blothar:] You will serve them no more
El Presidente and his whore
They will die by my sword
All will bow

[Verse 2]
I step from behind the curtain
Let them know who's pulling the strings
The transition might be quite painful
But I promise, you won't feel a thing
Who do you think causes famines and wars?
It's those same leaders you've been dying for

[Beefcake:] Teleport into his office all the way from outer space
[Jizmak:] He won't know it's happened 'til I'm tearing off his stupid face
[Balsac:] Did you think this sword and battle axe I have are just for show?
[Pustulus:] Not only will I use them, I'll revel as the kill count grows

[Blothar:] You will serve them no more
El Presidente and his whore
They will die by my sword
All will bow
Before GWAR

[Solo]

[Chorus]
[Beefcake:] Teleport into his office all the way from outer space
[Jizmak:] He won't know it's happened 'til I'm tearing off his stupid face
[Balsac:] Did you think this sword and battle axe I have are just for show?
[Pustulus:] Not only will I use them, I'll revel as the kill count grows

[Beefcake:] There's a simple reason why your country's crying out in pain
[Jizmak:] You've ignored your neighbor now your house is going up in flames
[Balsac:] Imbeciles all showed us when they squeezed into the voting booths
[Pustulus:] America should be afraid of television, wars, and truth

[Blothar:] You will serve them no more
El Presidente and his whore
They will die by my sword
All will bow

While I don't go looking for James Taylor albums typically, this song's dead-aim and easy to relate to for anyone whose been through the depths.

I haven't listened to cheesy pop much lately & I thought it was time I post a cheesy pop song here.
Haters by Hilary Duff

Don't spit on me and shame yourself
Because you wish you were someone else
You look so clean but you spread your dirt
As if you think that words don't hurt

You build up walls no one can climb
The things you do should be a crime
You're the queen of superficiality
Keep your lies out of my reality
And when you're nice it's just a pose
You're one of those

Haters, traitors to the human race,
Haters, what a drag, what a waste
I'd like to see them disappear, they don't belong anywhere
Haters, haters

Spinning a web that's hard to see
Of envy green and jealousy
Feeling angry but you don't know why
Why don't you look me in the eye
You want my friends, you want my clothes
You're one of those

Haters, traitors to the human race,
Haters, what a drag, what a waste
I'd like to see them disappear, they don't belong anywhere
Haters, haters

Different life forms, different species
Broken promises and treaties
Talkin' about exterminating
Not the haters, just the hating

You say you're boyfriend's sweet and kind
But you still got your eyes on mine
You're best friend's got her eyes on yours
It all goes on behind closed doors
And when you're nice it's just a pose
You're one of those

Haters, trying to steal the human race
Haters, what a drag, what a waste
I'd like to see them disappear, they don't belong anywhere
Haters, later for the alibis
Haters, any shape, any size
I'd like to see them disappear, they don't belong anywhere
Haters, traitors, haters, haters
Haters, haters, haters

Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne

Crazy, but that's how it goes
Millions of people living as foes
Maybe it's not too late
To learn how to love
And forget how to hate
Mental wounds not healing
Life's a bitter shame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

I've listened to preachers
I've listened to fools
I've watched all the dropouts
Who make their own rules
One person conditioned to rule and control
The media sells it and you live the role

Mental wounds still screaming
Driving me insane
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

I know that things are going wrong for me
You gotta listen to my words
Yeah-h!

Heirs of a cold war
That's what we've become
Inheriting troubles I'm mentally numb
Crazy, I just cannot bear
I'm living with something that just isn't fair

Mental wounds not healing
Who and what's to blame
I'm going off the rails on a crazy train

Now, I know a little ditty,
It's as crazy as can be.
The guy who wrote it said he wanted it,
And handed it to me.
I found I couldn't use it
Because it sounded blue,
And that's the very reason why
I'm handing it to you.

It's a song the alligators sing
While coming through the rye,
As they serenade the elephants
Up in the trees so high.
The iceman hums this ditty
As he shovels in the cold,
And the monkeys join the chorus
Up around the northern pole.

Ain't we crazy, Ain't we crazy,
This is the way we pass the time away.
Ain't we crazy, Ain't we crazy,
We're going to sing this song all night today.

It was midnight on the ocean,
Not a streetcar was in sight,
And the sun was shining brightly,
For it rained all day that night.
'Twas a summer night in winter,
And the rain was snowing fast,
And a barefoot boy with shoes on
Stood a-sitting in the grass.

It was evening, and the rising sun
Was setting in the west.
The little fishes in the trees
Were huddled in their nest.
The rain was pouring down
And the moon was shining bright,
And everything that you could see
Was hidden out of sight.

While the organ peeled potatoes,
Lard was rendered by the choir.
The sexton rung the dishrag,
Someone set the church on fire.
"Holy smoke!" The preacher shouted.
In the rain he lost his hair.
Now his head resembles heaven,
For there is no parting there.

The cows were making cowslips
And the bells were ringing wet,
And the bumblebees were making bums
And smoking cigarettes.
And a man slept in a stable
And came out a little ho(a)rse,
So he hopped upon his golf sticks
And drove all around the course.

Ain't we crazy, Ain't we crazy,
This is the way we pass the time away.
Ain't we crazy, Ain't we crazy,
We're goin' to sing this song all night today.

It was midnight on the ocean,
Not a horsecar was in sight
As I stepped into the drugstore
To get myself a light.
The man behind the counter
Was a woman old and gray
Who used to peddle shoestrings
On the road to Mandalay.

"Good evening, sir," the woman said,
And her eyes were bright with tears
As she put her head beneath her feet
And stood that way for years.
Her children, six, were orphans,
Except one tiny tot
Who lived in a house across the street
Above a vacant lot.

Ain't we crazy, Ain't we crazy,
But this is the way we pass the time away.
Ain't we crazy, Ain't we crazy,
We're going to sing this song all night today.

I Want Out by Helloween

From our lives' beginning on
We are pushed in little forms
No one asks us how we like to be
In school they teach you what to think
But everyone says different things
But they're all convinced that
They're the ones to see

So they keep talking and they never stop
And at a certain point you give it up
So the only thing that's left to think is this

(I want out) to live my life alone
(I want out)
Leave me be (I want out)
To do things on my own (I want out)
To live my life and to be free

People tell me a and b
They tell me how I have to see
Things that I have seen already clear
So they push me then from side to side
They're pushing me from black to white
They're pushing 'til there's nothing more to hear

But don't push me to the maximum
Shut your mouth and take it home
'Cause I decide the way things gonna be

(I want out)
To live my life alone (I want out)
Leave me be (I want out)
To do things on my own (I want out)
To live my life and to be free

There's a million ways to see the things in life
A million ways to be the fool
In the end of it, none of us is right
Sometimes we need to be alone

No no no, leave me alone

To live my life alone (I want out)
Leave me be (I want out)
To do things on my own (I want out)
To live my life and to be free
(I want out)

I have that song as my Facebook profile song. I relate to it since I am living with parents and cannot wait to have my own place. I am a lot more tired when living with parents than when I lived on my own in college. I was home a lot more when I was on my own in college than I am since college.

For a while I had the song All I want by A Day To Remember which lyrics say "All I want is a place to call my own" as my profile song. But changed it cause of the contoversy with the band.

Living with parents can certainly be very frustrating sometimes. I was kinda stuck living with mine till I hit 30 cuz I cant really handle living alone due to my various issues & disabilities in addition to Aspergers. My mom was very unhappy with the situation & sure let me know that she was. She seemed to think some of it was laziness & simply me not wanting/caring to move out cuz I was too comfortable there or something. A lot of it was cuz I was overwhelmed & lost as to what to do & nobody seemed to know how, be able to, & want to help. I'm a lot happier since I moved in with my girlfriend at 30 but things can still be difficult sometimes cuz we both have our various issues. I'm frustrated with society more these days thou I've been frustrated with that since I was little as well. It sux that lots treat others as if they are less because they are outsiders or go their own ways instead of adhering & conforming to the establishment or click or whatever.

A Day To Remember is pretty good. I tend to not pay much attention to the controversy of a band but I did hear some about it. I like the music I like & I'm not gonna suddenly change my music taste because of something a band did that was outside of their music. It's like that for me with shows & other things as well. I can listen to a band & watch a show without agreeing with or supporting something the artist did or the actor/actress does. If others want to boycott that's fine but it sux that some infer things from others interests or hobbies or habits that get misconstrued.
