"My Last Breath" by Evanescence.

I'm sure you've heard sadder, but it makes me cry every time I hear it. Maybe it's the thoughts that go into my head when I hear it. I just... start crying.

A song doesnt have to be slow and boring to be depressing.

This song resonates with me right now.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7vFaoA7t2RE

lyrics

I feel like I will never be happy again. Right now all I can experience is sickening anxiety. I'm so weary and drained and uninterested. I just want to be soothed by not having to care about anything.

Oh! I love that song. It actually makes me feel calm. It's their song "Hello" that makes me feel really sad.

I'm not sure if anyone's mentioned this, but there's a song called "The Christmas Shoes" by NewSong that was listed as "the most depressing song recorded in modern history" in the book I Hate Myself And Want To Die: The 52 Most Depressing Songs You've Ever Heard by Tom Reynolds.

I used to hear it on the radio every Christmas season and it always made me bawl. What's even worse is that it kept getting stuck in my head...

What's even worse is that that song is ultra-sappy and poorly written.

I could type up a list of songs, but I don't have time right now.

Everclear - "Wonderful"
Everclear - "Amphetamine"
Old 97's - "Rollerskate Skinny"
Dir en grey - "The Final"

"Streets of Heaven" by Sherrie Austin.

It's about a mother whose 7-year-old daughter is terminally ill - it's so sad.

too many Elliott Smith songs.
some Nina Simone songs.
a couple of Big Star songs.
"Good Morning, Heartache" by Billie Holiday

and many more by artists I pretend are undiagnosed Aspies who actually understand enough to put the pain in words.
