I KNEW IT! This Sand is a pro!
For us amateurs that's quite a blow!
But I'll persevere on,
risking getting it wrong,
And as they say... ON WITH THE SHOW!

PAGE THREE! Oh joy, we've gone far!
Some writing, though, has been bizarre! 8O
So I wonder who's next,
with their lyrical text,
I shall send my applause a' volar!

Sorry to disappoint you but I am not a pro. I have just been fooling around with words for a long time and having fun at it. I took a course once years ago at NYU in writing poetry and discovered that the instructor was such a total jerk that my $300 (half price because I was over age) that the money was thrown away. I am an amateur just like all the rest, but I seem to have an innate talent for rhyme.

Huh? What kind of limerick is that?
The tone and the rhythm's all flat
you must try again
our talented friend
For a Word Profferseur, you're a Nat'

I have to admit that I do,
at times make up words, this is true.
But no language can live,
unless someone will give
it a boost with something that's new! :P

A woman we'll call LKL,
Gave arguments quite logical.
If a man would try
to send her logic awry
With Aikido she'd knock sense to his skull! 8O :D

Her life as a Labpet she chose,
but when outside, her braincells she froze,
Twas' her Alaskan Dream!
But alas she did scream!
I just wish I had brought some warm clothes! 8O

There is one COOL Mom from Kentucky!
And her two ASD boys are quite lucky!
But the act I love most
Pardon, as I boast,
Was when Jaleb made me her new adoptee! :D :D :D

From Oregon there comes a tale,
of an astute young chap, Calendale.
With a love of the women,
his heart goes a swimmin'
And a sweet girl he'll catch, I can tell!

I hope my report you'll excuse.
I just thought to tell you the news
That I just fool around
With some words that I found
And then consult with my muse.

Historically Limericks are crude.
Some might even feel they are rude!
So posting them here,
I thought I'd steer clear,
of those types of words... am I a prude? 8)

Your skill with words is no quirk!
But when do you find time for work?
You seem to post,
right up there with the most.
I hope no duties you shirk! 8O

The Internet can be a black hole.
Late at night squinting hard like a mole.
The porn how it flies,
So I cover my eyes,
While W. P. SAVES MY POOR SOUL!
eta: this was a lame attempt last night at being somewhat risque!

This writing I just cannot stop!
My bloodshot eyes surely will POP! 8O
Blinded painfully by glare,
at my screen I do stare,
One more keystroke and then... I... shall... drop!

My age puts me past time for work
So, on the computer I lurk
Five minutes or so
Makes all limericks go.
Poems for me are no irk

I do like this thread I must say,
But my own limerick? Oh no way!
I do try to rhyme,
but I don't have the time,
So the last line is disappointingly bad.

At least you didn't say... ghey!

As WP's Starr she did shine!
With limerick she stepped up to the line.
Though her poem was cute,
it was hard to refute,
the ending needed more work and more time!
... actually... it's, FINE! :D

Her avatar is a cute bear.
But does Shadesofme sport so much hair? 8O
Through the "Post Pics" I search
Feeling left in a lurch,
I could not find her image there. :( :D
