I don't know if this will help, but

I go through galleries at another site, Renderosity.. Along with creative artwork, the spelling and punctuation is often...just as creative...

sometimes a phrase or title will spur me to create something, without trying to be too obvious about it. Sometimes you say 'well, if it was me...' that can help

It's a pity you can't download. Almost sounds like you're on dialup. There's a lot of 3d programs out there for free, and you can sometimes get an idea when you get a new character, armor, whatever. Sometimes modeling your own stuff can be creative..

I applaud you for being able to post at Deviant Art...I can't find anything at that place... good luck. Also, if they have forums (can't remember, but it's a possibility), there's probably a thread just like this one there.

The one thing I have found is to not try to hard, art has to be an extension of you and that comes with lots and lots of practice, confidence and time.

All I can advise is keep doing whatever you doing and eventually, your start to really see, observation and knowing yourself is the key, its a continuation of who you are.

When you find who you are, it will just happen...
