No, I like it - the dubstep thread.

If someone with a black metal thread, or a grunge thread, or a progressive rock thread doesn't feel like they need to ask themselves if they're being too narrow - no reason why we have anything to apologize about.

Mmm, I'm at work right now - can't download but I'll check it out later.

On a side note, just wanted to update that I have about seven tunes that I'm working on, think I'll likely throw them all out there as a batch release. The sound is varying, some of it is edging on hollow-pipe techno, some of it is edging on dj shadow type stuff, some has a Blame type vibe going; it'll be a lot of fun to work on and like anything - learning how to problem solve in this motif will probably be great in helping me build new skill sets to reapply to jungle :D.

Anyway, here's one more I just heard now, wouldn't be surprised if your familiar with it but I'm really feeling the structure of it - kind of like some of what I'm working on right now but on a more veteran level, similar attitude though:

Glad to have you onboard warface :). I don't know what the story is with post minimums for youtube videos, I figure you make your rounds and get your count up over 100 its bound to do something.

Sad thing about topics like this is that you have a few esoteric sorts who'll post in it and for the rest it just gives them a case of the whuh's, no inquisitive spirit I tell ya.

That said though I found at least a few tunes that are magnificent on a good system, real articulate bass:

Also, there *was* someone who had a tune posted, Zomby - Dripping Like Water, excellent tune, I'm guessing youtube admin must have sitting in the corner and counting down from 100.

no respectable dubstep thread would be complete without this:

agreed on Anti-War Dub being the greatest dubstep tune.

anyway, I was just searching for Skrewface's Dubsteppers Delight to download and stumbled upon this site: www.GotDarker.com . it might be obvious and already known to everyone, I don't know :p but I just discovered it and it's a great resource, just downloaded a bunch of some pretty awesome sets and enjoying them right now :D
