I grew up in Werribee and travelled by train to Geelong. During the filming of Mad Max (The Road Warrior in USA) Max's interceptor was often parked outside the Railway hotel along with the occasional Main Force Patrol pursuit car, with a gaggle of schoolboys gawking at them. Anarchy road was really named Anakie road and the cop shop was really Newport's disused power station. This clip by The Dark Clouds (from Wollongong) brings back many memories.
