Pink Orchids. I really liked how they turned out.

Best viewed on a laptop computer with headphones.
size the film to be just wider than a pair of eyeglasses.
place your nose in the bottom center of the film.
close your eyes and start film.

I made a piece I am really excited about. Its called Ancient Honors. It is supopsed to depict the tomb of an indo-european warrior. It was done on the bamboo tablet, of course, with a water color template accented by ink pen.

^^^ I love it! Facial portraits are the one thing I could never quite "get". Yours is perfect... the dimensions, lines, etc. Nicely done!

The first image is one that I drew back in either 2010 or 2011, hence why the paper has signs of yellowing on it (it's also a little wrinkled in real life). It's supposed to be a portrait of me (the blue-eyed one) and the Mia Wasikowska version of Alice (from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland), a character whom I had a crush on/fancied during 2010 - 2011. There are a lot of mistakes in this drawing, but it's one of my favorites because of the emotion I put into it.

The second drawing is simpler and more stylized (and much more recent; it's only about a week or two old), and it's supposed to be a humanized Fluttershy (from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic) and Edward Scissorhands. I was inspired by the Skrillex song "Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites"; every time certain lyrics came on (Broken hearts/I'm a coward too/You don't need to hide, my friend/For I am just like you), this image would come into my head so I felt like I had to draw it.

The reason why the first one looks so much different than the second (which is more in line with my usual style) is because I was experimenting with a more Westernized/comic book look during the time that I drew it.

Aren't I predictable?

Absolutely Makay you have improved. The proportions of the girl on the picture are more defined.

Sekhmethotep was once the proud Pharaoh of Egypt, but once she lost the battle to save her kingdom from a Persian invasion, the Persian Shah gave her to one of his sons as a concubine. Now she must fight her way back to freedom and win her country back from the clutches of the mighty Persian Empire...

The outfit Sekhmethotep wears here is obviously not authentic ancient Egyptian dress but rather a Persian imposition on her when they turn her into a concubine. In my story, the Persians regard Egypt more or less as we Westerners tend to regard the Congo today, namely as the epitome of Darkest Africa. The Persians thus stereotype the Egyptians as exotic savages who worship animals and live in a dark and misty marshland. Additionally the Persian men tend to fetishize a certain aspect of Sekhmethotep's anatomy that you can't see in this perspective, but suffice to say they notice it when looking at her from behind...

Thank you; glad that you like them. :) I like the pictures that you've been making of flowers. They're so colorful and dreamy!
