I really love the think soft petals of magnolias and their rich dark-green leaves. Did I do them justice? What do you guys think? Its kind of hard to work with an all-white flower. You need the shading just right or A) it looks like a blob of white, or B you shade it too much and it looks messy. I think my right side of the flower is a bit messy.

Thanks.

I am looking for more foliage/flower ideas to paint. Anyone got any suggestions or requests? I would love to work on ideas you guys may have for flowers.

I love orchids. I have already done one, but it was not my best. I will work on one of these! =)

Here is the one I made. Its a combination of all three pictures. I drew the elements I liked of each! =)

here is my older orchid picture. I did not sketch it first, and i think this was the problem =/

Mirror21 - I love your new orchid picture! I also like the shading you did on that red rose.

A little backstory: I made a this huge list of crossover pairings (where you take 2 characters from different shows/movies/books/games/etc. and make them a couple) and since I have recently bought a ton of drawing paper, I decided to draw at least one picture for each pairing I came up with. The first pairing on the list was Alice Kingsleigh from Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland and Rin Okumura from the anime Blue Exorcist.

The idea behind the picture is that Alice and Rin are about to go fight the Jabberwocky together, and so she's telling him to be careful and the two of them are all worried about each other.

But because of the wonky anatomy and the way I colored Alice's eyes, she looks like a zombie that's about to eat him. I also failed at his facial expression and his pose (which was supposed to be "in the middle of turning around", not completely sideways), so he looks like a hunchback that doesn't care that he's about to be eaten by a zombie girl.

Not my best work, but - to quote Cosmo from Fairly Oddparents - "You win a few, you lose a lot".

I wonder...does anyone dare to draw anything from one of my fantasy worlds?

It's your fantasy world. It would look better to you if it was drawn from your head.

Besides, practice will guarantee a little improvement.
