Just got out of the car from chilling with some other aspies from group. I threw in Mobb Deep - Hell on Earth in the car, heard the first 4 tracks, fast-forewarded a little to track 7, and was on track 8 (Midnight Vultures) when I got home. Love that cd, one of the few hip-hop cds I have that I can listen to it end to end and still not find a single track or beat that isn't dope.

Just got done checking out the live A/V of Nicky Blackmarket and MC Skibadee @ One Nation back on 28.08.05 which is still hosted on Drum & Bass Arena (http://www.breakbeat.co.uk). Nice selection of new and old tracks.

I've just been noticing that my taste though with respect to DNB is changing. They don't just have to be the sickest darkest of rollers or the moodiest jazz step or oldskool Metalheadz. I'm starting to actually feel the more mainstream stuff as well.

Geez, I feel way out of my depth here. Sounds like I've gotta think of some classic rock, alternative, or metal if I'm gonna be in with this thread... lets see here...

That's the stuff that's about my speed.

I have a friend who's an 80's buff (ie. The Fix, the Cure, Duran Duran, Frankie Goes to Hollywood, etc.). I think I'd need help on that era... I like some of that stuff as long as it has that sort of emotionally-burnt feel to it, hard to explain what I mean by that but it's one of those elements that I hear in disco house where its a happy sound but it's hardened like it has all the innocence burned right out of it.
