I made this flower on my android tablet. It has a nice drawing app. Its fun to use the stylus to draw, if you take your time. Otherwise you can end up with a great deal of blobs.

This is neat! Initially, I thought it was made of tissue paper, or some type of string/net. Very cool!

If I had the midriff for that, I would so wear it. (Particularly if it was royal purple ;-) )

These are great! I love the first one, it's super adorable, and I am a huge fan of paisley... it has a very paisley feel to me.

The second one is something that is a style I would very much like to have for my next tattoo. :-D

I can't remember what I've posted and what I haven't, but here is summore old artwork. I'll post newer stuff ... one day. Some of these things reflect the style that I do now, but as with time I've gotten better with anatomy, shading, ect. I'm doing more traditional things ever since my Wacom stopped working properly three and a half years ago. I'm hoping to get into Cornish College of the Arts in a few years and will post my portfolio pieces in the months to come. :D

I used to love playing Neopets! This was my Aisha, Paipier.

This one was for a Pteri I was applying to adopt. I don't remember what it was called. The owner commissioned a ton of artwork from me for herself and ended up giving it to a schoolfriend.

Here's some things from when I was 16! =D

Done for someone in class, Freshman year. I liked it too much to give to him.

This one was done for a friend who went by the name of 'Akerin'. This was one of her characters, Milo.

Feline Inferno. He seems upset about something...

For some reason this generated 250 faves on DevArt, which questions my understanding of people's personal tastes in art. This took me about two minutes to doodle, and then another five to funk around with on Photoshop. I just don't get it.

I don't have any more crusty old art to add to this forum, so hopefully I can get something new and current uploaded before the world ends!

Thanks! But do the drips of blue paint look... weird? Two people stated that it seemed out of place. :(

I love it!

.. I think the drips give it a somewhat dark emotional quality.. I'm not sure if that is what you were going for, but I think everything seems quite fitting.

A vague concept would be like a girl who is sad at her own party... I don't want to go into too much detail, because I'll ramble forever.

Thank you. That isn't the first time my work has been compared to animated cartoons. Maybe they're influencing me subconsciously.

Wow, Brandon, your artwork is amazing. I wish I could draw the female form as well as you... Then again, it might help if I'd practice. And what doesn't help is the fact that most of my drawings are videogame and anime characters - mostly big muscly men...

How often do you draw, and is everything you do original?

I draw fan art only occasionally, and even then I tend to tweak the characters' appearance to better fit my personal tastes. Much more commonly I draw my own original characters. I vastly prefer my own imagination over fandoms anyway.

As for drawing frequency, it tends to fluctuate over the year's course. Some months I draw several times a day, others I barely draw at all. Nowadays I'm obviously in my more productive mood.

Oh wow... I couldn't draw every single day. if I'm not in the right "mood," it just doesn't turn out right.

I love the fact that you don't just sketch a character. You actually put the character in a situation. Like, she's down on one knee, taking aim at some sort of animal, and they're surrounded by tropical vegetation. You draw the entire scene, and I envy that. I also envy how well you draw realistic looking anatomy like feet and hands.

Normally I do just sketch the character. Lately however I've experimented with giving my characters backgrounds to act in. I find it's helpful to draw a compositional sketch of the whole scene on a smaller piece of paper before transferring it into a drawing on a larger sheet. Also, I tend to regard feet and hands as my weak area, as is often the case with artists.

Ah... I never thought of that, but that's not a bad idea. I'd love to draw backgrounds, but I tend to not be so great at drawing objects. That, and by the time I've finished the character, the last thing i want to do is try to draw more stuff around him/her. Part of it is out of fear that I'll end up screwing up and having to erase part of the character, and then when i go to fix it, it won't look as good as it did the first time. That, and I'm not sure what background to give them anyway.

I feel the same way, especially with more cluttered or crowded backgrounds. In fact drawing anything with tons of detail scares my balls off.

Are you actually 15??
