I turned sixteen in August of 2012. I read "The Bell Jar" for the first time in February of 2013. I was sixteen and a half when I began reading it. The whole of my sixteen year does not count. I am now 22 and a half. The whole of my twenty-second year does not count. Subtract two halves and you subtract a whole year. It has been six years...
Also, it does not take me a year to read the book... It usually varies between a few days to about a month. More if I am in a depressive episode. This is my sixth time reading the book. In December of this year, I will start reading the book again and I will do this every year after that...
