This is the last piece I have gotten done this week. Been really busy and seldom at home or with a chance to pull out my portable sketchbook. I am very bitter. Working on an evil dolly piece tho, slowly and hopefully sometime tomorrow (i got that day off) I can get it done.

this is Sad Pixie the exaggerated proportions where on purpose.

I should draw something different... *sighs*

It's still a WIP. I still have to shade this.

I don't normally like fire-breathing dragons (I prefer my dragons to spew venom), but cool fire effect!

Australoid Desert Assassin
Although this character's costume may have a vaguely "Arabian Nights" aesthetic, her physiognomy actually draws from Aboriginal Australians, whom for me represent the quintessential "desert people" even more than the stereotypical Arabs. I really think there ought to be more Australoid OCs in the fantasy fandom.

Although now I look at her again, she also has a bit of a South Indian vibe to her, especially since I've made her face paint red.

And now for something completely different...

Nondo the Dragon

Getting back into my good old dinosaur mood, here's my take on those other popular giant carnivorous reptiles, the dragons.

Actually, in my own little world, dragons are dinosaurs. However, while they belong to the saurischian branch of the clade Dinosauria, their ancestors branched off from the rest early in their evolution, so you can't really sort them into any of the major dinosaur groups. If I were to draw a phylogenetic tree of the Dinosauria with dragons included, the dragons would branch off just before the sauropod/theropod split.

Anyway, I picture these guys hunting elephants and other larger prey in savannas and jungles. They are very much the apex predators of their native ecosystems. As juveniles, dragons may spew venom, but they lose this ability upon maturation into adulthood.

"Nondo", the other major name for my dragons, is of East African Swahili origin as I recall.

Here. I'm not really good at action poses, so I provided a few different details and spiced her up a little bit for you. Lemme know what you think. :)

This is beautiful and made my day. Thank you.

Also, do you have a favorite thing about her outfit, or is that a bad question?

I'd probably say her legs stood out to me the most. They were pretty fun to draw.

Hatshepsut Does Her Hair

The Pharaoh who's been my artistic muse for a long time engages in one of the ancient Egyptians' favorite activities, namely grooming her hair. Often wealthier Egyptians would shave their real hair and wear wigs, but I prefer the subjects of my drawings to go natural.

Both the comb and the mirror were drawing using actual Egyptian artifacts as references.

Modified

Body modification is more than looks. It's about self- expression and utilizing the ultimate canvas; the human body. Million thanks to my best friend for letting me take this shot of her lip piecing process.

Mikha’El, a Hebrew slave in New Kingdom Egypt, attends to the needs of Hatshepsut while she relaxes on her balcony. Like many other slaves, he always shows his mistress a smile, but perhaps more sincerity lies behind his grin than the rest whenever he enjoys the beautiful young Pharaoh’s company…

Mikha'El the Studly Slave

Mikha'El is a Hebrew slave serving in the palace of Hatshepsut, the female Pharaoh of Egypt. At a young age, Egyptian slavers kidnapped him from his native homeland of Israel and sold him to an abusive brick-maker, but a piteous Hatshepsut took the long-suffering Mikha'El into her luxurious abode. Now more comfortable than ever before, Mikha'El hopes to repay the Pharaoh one day for her charity...and maybe convince her to free his whole people from bondage in Egypt.

For once, this OC actually has a finished story behind him. It's a sexually explicit piece of interracial, historical erotica which I can't link to here, but it's on Booksie under the title "Pharaoh's Willing Slave" for anyone interested.

By the way, those are dates he's carrying in that bowl.

Curious Fairy

Finally got some time to sit down and not fret! Was hard to scan this because I was like this totally cool! I am gonna draw her like she is peeking sideways from the page. It was horrid to scan. Hope you guys like it. Been working really hard and missing sleep but drawing makes me calm.

Brandon one question, because I do not know much about it. Is it historically accurate for the Hebrew slave to wear that headpiece? It was my understanding house slaves where fashioned to the cultural liking of the masters, especially in Egypt. Was I wrong? I dislike being misinformed.

^ To be honest, I took creative liberties with his design.

Cool I was wondering. No critique intended. It looks nice.
