I call this Smashing Pumpkins' sonic youth song. The guitar, drums just seem to remind me very much of Sonic Youth. Can you see any similarity, HighLlama?

And, this to me is what I call the Foo Fighters "Husker" song. Plus, one of the lines being: "I'm a new day rising"...perhaps an homage to Husker?
