My 4 EPs are there now. Dating back to 2007. Enjoy. :)

i like Escapade and Downwards from Bandwagon Genres a lot. to me, it has a sound reminscient of New Order or Depeche Mode, though when i checked back through my library i couldn't put my finger on which songs exactly.

The tempo on your Technology album was fast and upbeat - really house-y to me. the rapid-fire staccato sounds in Clogged Together were so amazing. i was sad when the clip ended. wanted more!

how long have you been making music for?

Thank you very much.

Since 2006, I've been making my own music, on and off in FLStudio. The Technology EP, was made in FLStudio 5. The most recent one was made in FLStudio 9. I've upgraded over the years.

I'm glad you like my music, and compare it to New Order and Depeche Mode, who are 2 of my favourite artists. :)

i made a new song! it is called allen key, and the lyrics are intended to be both literal and metaphorical. i can't seem to figure out a link to the individual song itself, but here is my band page, where you can click to listen (and download it for free on iLike if want):

hyperlexian, your voice is beautiful, and your music is too. Your vocals really do work around the calmness, yet experimental nature of your music, plus you look pretty too. :)

Keep it up.

awww thanks, that so sweet!

i am working hard at improving the vocals. i'd like to have someone sing my lyrics for me but everyone i know is shyer than me, even! someone thought i was really really depressed when ui wrote 'allen key', but i was just my usual self.

This one was a rassle. Its something I did last summer but couldn't nail the mixdown, redid it last week but wow...took me eight days and it still has certain flaws that bother me, even after deli-shaving signals and using compression in ways that I've never heard of and would likely be embarrassed to admit.

Moral of the story - reaching back into the unfinished archives may not always be a good thing! It takes a certain understanding to sculpt the sound right in the first place, the originals were extremely airy/vaporous.

i have no idea what you are talking about (don't have the lingo yet. i know 'mastering' in your explanation and that's about it lol). sorry about my non-technical jargon, but here's what i notice:

i like the slow buildup to where the song hits a stride somewhere around 0:42, and particularly the sort of pulsing, reflective bridge where the music slowly winds down just past the midpoint, then slides back up and gathers strength. and of course i dig the semi-symmetrical fade out.... totally peaceful.

Your very welcome. I like to be honest, and give my advice. I think singing your own, written lyrics is better, because you know how you want the lyrics to sound. And "Allen Key" does sound like it comes from within. :)

I have no means to record/compose anything other than a line-in option on my Line 6 Spider IV amp (sucks) and audacity, but it was still more than enough to produce these masterpieces....

Both of these are on YouTube. Can't post links yet because I'm new.

"ROBOT INVASION"
/watch?v=LlNFChUDqVE

"Birds"
/watch?v=l3HM9RbRqWM

There's two more I made on my account (Fresh from the mothership.... and THIS IS AN IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM YOUR LEADER), but those were only made using sine waves and white noise. Not quite as...interesting as ROBOT INVASION and Birds.

I've now compiled my 3 years worth of music on 2 albums. "Just Noise", and "Staticsphere".

www.last.fm/music/Staticsphere

Mainly compilations due to the inconsistency of it all. :)

that's just about the most industrial sound i've ever heard! cool pic of the bird.

Nope, that's pretty much what I've made over the past 3 years. :)

Don't worry Hyperlexian, stay tuned, as I've got more along the way.

Rayn, very good percussiveness in the lyrics.
