I'm listening to my light rock playlist on Spotify. Really Here by Far, which is a pretty relaxing and chill kind of rock song.

To clarify on VH, it's not that I drink a lot. In this instance we were almost late for the show and I was very stressed so I grabbed all I could find (vodka and tomato juice) and chugged a little too much to calm my nerves about rushing. It was a very bad choice. I could barely walk into the venue and was ill by the opening number.

:(

My therapist likes a good bottle of scotch. It's ironic you mentioned that. :) Nice song.

Beautiful beautiful Tracy Chapman and music that to me seems from a very distant time now. I like this song because it is almost like a novel or movie that makes you care about the characters.

Too bad you weren't able to stay and enjoy the whole show.

I barely ever drink and even when I was consumed by collecting little bottles of scotch, in true Aspie fashion, I was more obsessed with learning about the Inner Hebrides Islands, the distilleries on the islands, their history, memorizing the names and number of distilleries on each island, learning about the climate (right up my alley! Overcast and cool), on and on and on.

DON'T get me started talking about scotch!

I won't ask about scotch :) but I also love overcast and cool days. I didn't have to leave the VH show. I was escorted to the vestibule by security but my friend convinced them I had the flu. The humiliation (and hearing the show go on without me), helped me to sober up pretty quickly. The stranger and I were send to a little room to wash up and we got free tshirts to wear. We returned to the show (awkward...) I still feel terrible for that person. I don't even remember their gender. It's a blank. I was mortified and can only imagine how bad it was for them.

Ah, I understand now. Yes, I would have felt bad for the person as well! :o

Is it just me or does everyone else feel like they're playing poker when trading songs?

Magna,
I sent a link of this performance to my nephew who is a young, accomplished musician. We both adore George. I thought it would be new to him but he said:

"Yeah, I've seen it. Thought you did. Prince destroys everyone there with his solo. I've heard people argue that's the best guitar solo of all time ... Dhani looks way too much like George. It's bloody creepy".

When I asked about the drummer:

"Could be Larnell Lewis. I think he was in Snarky Puppy, he's a very good session drummer".

(from the mouths of babes)

Thanks again for sharing. I can't stop playing it.

Remember when airplanes had radio channels for the headphones, generally with lame playlists?

This song was on my plane when I flew from LA just prior to 9/11. The association is embedded in my mind.

Rest in peace to all those affected and strength to the bereaved.

Isabella:

My wife said it's Steve Ferrone. I could agree that Prince's solo is one of the best I've ever seen.
