Kurt Cobain had good taste in music. "The brothers, Meat - as he refers to them".

I like how the song falls apart/stops and then starts back up again to finish. I have this album and hearing the banter between the tracks you get the impression the studio musicians may not have been all that into the session.

^^ what an odd, one of a kind dude. I love the Big Star albums.

I also had a VHS tape of a Joy Division concert in high school. Watching him dance was both off-putting and mesmerizing.

I totally agree about his dancing. No filter or supression. In performance art, I find that in the rare times when an artist expresses themselves so freely with no "filter", it can be like you said, both off-putting and mesmerizing. Like Joe Cocker singing and dancing. Same thing for me.

I think I've posted this before, but I was in the mood to listen to it again.

I saw an interview with the Babes In Toyland drummer, Lori Barbero at her home in Minneapolis.
She apparently was known to carry a camera around wherever she went and took thousands of pictures during their performing years all over the world but most importantly of other bands, musicians, on stage, back stage, etc.
She said perhaps someday she would make a book. I think that would be awesome to see.
