PS I always thought they said " ... a come on from the horse on Seventh Avenue". OOPS.
Your misheard song lyric is funny. I didn't hear, did Garfunkel sing with Simon at Simon's last performance?
No, but his final show was Saturday night in Queens NYC. I would have loved to see it, even though it would have been depressing af without Garfunkel (my autistic spirit guide lol). I don't believe Simon even mentioned him, but that story will never be fully known. I'm still looking for footage from Queens.

Ok. It must have been wishful thinking then since the radio news I heard prior to the last show said that it was rumored that Garfunkel might have made an appearance to sing with Paul. Could you imagine how awesome that would have been? Bookends in the most real way. Too bad that didn't happen. Maybe the universe couldn't have handled it (Simon and Garfunkel singing Bookends together at Paul Simon's last performance......).

Preserve your memories ~ They're all that's left you.
Um... no. I can't imagine. I just can't. I didn't even think of that possibility; the song is just too powerful for me.

I couldn't watch this now given all that's happened between them.
Old friends ~ Memory brushes the same years, Silently sharing the same fears.
I had to. It's.....it's....................
I mean, I could watch this ^ version given their age. But, to have seen it live this week at Simon's last show? Pass the defibrillator, please
S & G Greatest Hits was the first vinyl album I owned when I was four in '72. I was in love with the lyric "Sail on, silver girl" from the radio and eventually named my horse Silvergirl for it. I still have the album with all its scratches and such (plus about four CDs carted off to Uni and played on the trains with my trusted CD headsets (Homeward Bound in particular). Wow.
