Me today: "Yay! It's Wuthering Heights day! It better not be sunny!" Thank God for October!
I read it this time of year because it's always windy, blustery and grey. I was right.

I would go as far as to say The Smiths got me through a few of my teen years. They were that integral in my life.

Smiths and Simple Minds, for me (in terms of 80s music).

I like the birds and animal sounds in this song.

I listened to that man's voice, Magna. I liked it. Soft-spoken but intelligent sounding. I'm trying to think of my favourite voices. Maybe James Stewart but that's because of associations.

Jimmy Stewart has a great voice. Thank you for listening to that post.

It's not exactly "freeway noise" but I live on a busy street in a small city so it's kind of on-and-off soothing white noise that brings back fond memories of my hitchhiking days as a teenager.

The house also makes noises that I never noticed when there were people and animals living here. Sometimes I think it's one of my people or animals, but it's not painful any more, more like when you think you feel the baby moving and then remember that there isn't a baby any more, just a miscarriage or an abortion and We Don't Talk About Things Like That In This Family So Let's Just Pretend This Never Happened(tm).

I took French in school so I thought this scene was funny since I could understand the exchanges and I think the instructor is attractive.
