I really believe this is one of the best rock songs of all time.

How about "Stairway to Heaven?"

Now with the Captain and Tennille, you're playing more songs from my youth. Here's another my Mom used to play and sing around the house.

The first few notes of this song are very similar to the first few notes of New Order's version of the Joy Division song - Ceremony. I never realized that until now.

Wow, I can hear that Magna.

You mixed up your geography, Korts. It's Kansas, not Boston :)

This reminds me of going to my paternal grandmother's house when grandfather was disappeared and she was dying. I was about nine or so.

It was very deep for me, not sad. It was snowing. I think it was always snowing in my childhood.

Stairway to Heaven -- I actually find it too repetitive musically. Reminds me of not having anyone to dance with as an adolescent and hiding in the back of the room in the dark.

Oh no! LOL.

Boston did "It's only a feeling!"

The Tams did a song called "What kind of fool do you think I am?" Symbolizing that I'm a fool LOL

My mind is a frazzle...I know these songs well!

But not the lyrics. I tend not to know the lyrics too well. It's odd.

I tend to scatter my words / lyrics sometimes too.

Not a big deal.

What was the first slow song dance you remember dancing? Oh wait. Wrong thread. Mine was Journey. Open Arms.

It was sometime in my early 20s. It was to some sort of soul song.

I wonder how people would feel about "Doctor's Orders" by Carol Douglas. I was just about to turn 14 when it was popular.

This was one of my “coming of age “ songs.

Another was “Pillow Talk.”

Another was “Walking in the Rain with the Girl I Love."

...You know, I have read that San Francisco gay club DJs in the 70s would play that Carol record's 45 version at 33&1/3 - at which speed the vocal by Carol sounded like a stereotypical " effimiate gay man "!

I

A nicely distinctive voice. The beginning reminds me of J Mascis. Do you like Dinosaur Jr?
