Rich Mattson has been a musician in MN for decades. He was in a band with his brother called the Glenrustles. I've never heard this song below until doing a Youtube search but the song and the awesome pictures and video are SO Minnesotan! It's worth a listen/watch.

The Glenrustles. I was once part owner in a coffeehouse in which we had live music some nights. Other nights we would just spin near constant vinyl on an awesome sound system. Barista and DJ at the same time. Oh, the mid-nineties! The Glenrustles played at our coffeehouse.

This band, that has national prominence if not international, played it's very first live show ever at a coffeehouse I used to be part owner of.

I love 12 string guitar. It has that extra buzz that tickles my insides. I literally feel music sometimes from head to toe.

I'm ending the all Minnesota music day with a perfect tie-in song: A Minnesota band singing a theme song to a great TV show set in Minnesota - Mary Tyler Moore. What could be more fitting?
