I've seen him live a handful of times. Some of the most entertaining live music shows I've seen. My wife had never heard his music and I took her to a show in an intimate venue. Jonathan charmed everyone there as only he can. My wife was hooked after that one show.

I can imagine. He's like the anti-Johnny Rotten. His interview in the punk episode of PBS' History of Rock and Roll is fun.

Great picks. I always took "Rikki" to be about s&m, but maybe I'm wrong. Hilarious songs, though. I think this was one of their funniest:

I love how so many of their songs are like advertisements for lowlife activity. "Time Out of Mind" is a brilliant one in this vein.
