The Wall was HUGE when I was an adolescent. Hey You and Goodbye Blue Sky were both really meaningful for me. I remember being scolded in Art class because I was daydreaming the lyrics of Goodbye. I was supposed to be drawing a medieval calligraphy poster that said "It's better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all". (Tennyson). I failed the assignment.
I often managed to get the same teachers that my older brother had. The absolute worst was art because my brother was so much better than me and he never encouraged me, not that I had any talent to develop. I was lucky enough to have the same art teacher during my elementary years and high school so I got her for a second round of her telling me how good my brother was and what I was lacking.
