I'm currently reading Principia Mathematica and Finnegans Wake . Oh and a few select books on Quantum entanglement. plus the Dead sea Scrolls. In their original text form.

:D

I once picked up a copy of Finnegans Wake in a bookstore and flipped to a random page... I *think* it was (mostly) in English, but I cannot rule out the possibility that I was staring at 65,536 bit encrypted word salad written by the Greek god Dionysus during a fit of binge drinking and/or a LSD trip.

Anyway, I'm currently reading The Ascent of Gravity by Marcus Chown:

I understand that's a not uncommon reaction to James Joyce' fiction.

Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure, Cleland 1748

I'm stoked. This was written to get a man out of debtors' prison -- I love it.

These days I read, but only book I already know - so that there is not so much surprise [wich might make chaos in my head], more 'meeting' old friends .... the last finished one were

a) 'Die rote Zora und Ihre Bande' from Kurt Held
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Outsiders_of_Uskoken_Castle]
Its a kids book, but still enjoyable in my adult age. Some book are always good, and some only in special times/ages.
b) 'Die Wand' from Marlene Haushofer
[https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wall_(novel)]
Dystopia, I never understood why most of people think the life the woman had was spooky.

I'm curious what books I will read this year ....

The Best Horror Of The Year: Volume 12.

A Valentine's Day gift from my wife, this is an anthology of what the book's editor deems to be the best short horror fiction of the previous year. So far, pretty good.
