I had two friends who where junkies. One jumped off a bridge and killed himself. I have no idea what happened to the other one, but I hope he fared better.....

I thought YOU'D like this. You've probably heard it before, but it's haunting. I love it. I could be wrong, but from what I recall hearing Bowie and Freddie went out for pizza together after recording this. How awesome would that be?

Yes, I do love it and it's very sentimental to me! When my friend Linda died unexpectedly I probably played it 1000 times straight. The line "love dares you to care for the people on the edge of the night" always got to me and especially when she died. She was such a good friend and acted like a mother figure to me. She died three days after 911. It was a brutal time for me and actually led to the seven years of hell I endured right afterward.
