Those sketches are amazing, you've got some serious talent! And if that's just idle sketching at work, I'd love to see what you can do when you really put your mind to it lol. Do you do any sort of painting? Ugh, I'm starting to give out too many complements, this thread has a talent overload...

BTW Titangeek, you've really only been at it for 4 months? I'd love to see what you're cranking out a year down the road, at that rate you'll be making the statue of David out of wood by then!

I actually like this a lot, just don't feel completely satisfied with the anatomy.

I need to get a new stylus soon...

This was sort of a senior project for my art class back in high school, about 16 years ago. Consists of 3 photos: portrait shot from Countdown To Extinction, cover lettering from Countdown, and part of the album cover to Youthanasia. All pencil on 18x24 in. paper. You might notice some signatures all over it; I actually got the band to sign it when they were in town a few years later.

Edited my Hatsy and Cleo drawing's lighting and shading in order to establish a more consistent light source.

Cat's Eyes

Eyes of a black cat. I highlighted the pupils and shaded the irises. I made the eyes slanted in such a way to give it a more dramatic effect.

Ancient Egyptian Soldiers
These are a couple of common soldiers, a spearman and an archer, from ancient Egypt. Due to their country's hot and sunny climate, most Egyptian soldiers never wore much in the way of body armor, instead relying on ox-hide shields for protection. Nonetheless at the peak of their power the Egyptians conquered an empire straddling the northern Sudan all the way to the Euphrates River in Syria.

Roman Legionaries
Here's a couple of common legionaries, one with a gladius and another with a javelin, from the ancient Roman Empire. The Roman legionaries' armor actually underwent many revisions in design over the centuries, but I've chosen the most familiar costume, the lorica segmentata, to represent them. These characters' olive skin tones were actually sampled from authentic paintings of Roman people recovered from Fayyum in northern Egypt.

Sobek Unmasked
This is my artistic interpretation of Sobek, the crocodile god in Egyptian mythology. Sobek is probably my favorite male deity in the whole Egyptian tradition, undoubtedly because it's hard to go wrong with big carnivorous reptiles. However, for my interpretation I drew Sobek not as a crocodile himself, as most artists do, but as a man with a crocodile mask. I like the idea that the Egyptian gods' "animal heads" were really masks homologous to those worn by traditional African religious leaders. The red disks in this character's ear lobes are meant to represent the sun, but they were inspired by the ear discs worn by certain Ethiopian tribal groups.

This is a partial tattoo sleeve design I've been working on today. Needs some tidying up after another look at it.

Thanks!! It's just me being too much of a perfectionist and seeing some coloring needs tidying lol.

this has to be slightly asymmetrical in order to exist (i had to rotate by 4 degrees clockwise for anything to appear.
i get the smiley error if i try to post more than one pic at a time.
