The music industry is so damn corrupted it stinks in your trail if you have synesthesia and you're not wearing earphones. But Sturgill Simpson already said that: "Well that label man said son / Now can you sing a little more clear / Your voice might be too genuine / And your song's a little too sincere".

Agreed. Sometimes I believe all rappers are terrible people. Male rappers encourage boys to be pimps and drug-dealers, and female rappers encourage girls to be strippers and prostitutes.

I love pop music, and I'm not a fan of metal. Unsurprisingly, most metalheads can't stand pop.

It's true, most of it causes me physical discomfort to be subjected to.

Video game music is better than most Top 40 or country songs!

I stand by this statement

All music is good..people just have preferences on what music they like and don't. But yeah as much as I kinda hate pop music, well it wouldn't be popular if there weren't people who enjoy it and get something out of it. Cause idk I very much hate jazz music, I realize it's an important genre and some rock music came a bit out of it.....but I hate jazz, hearing it pisses me off just so much going on in it, it just sounds like chaos and stresses me out. Yet I can listen to black metal or like melodic death metal with harsh vocals and that is actually relaxing, but put jazz on and it makes me anxious.

So yeah I think tons of music is good, and even if I don't like something it may still be 'good' in general but just not to my taste.

That's a very low bar to clear.

I go back to King Crimson's early 80's albums more than any of their others. It's not that the others aren't good, I just don't get the urge to listen to them as much.

My alter ego is a Broadway diva and I belt out musicals at the top of my lungs, on repeat for hours and hours (I mean weeks and weeks, or sometimes months and months).

Is that unpopular?

I don't know what's en vogue.

Brian Eno's production sucked all the life out the Talking Heads albums he was involved with. Their live performances are invariably better.

I usually prefer unplugged versions of songs. Occasionally, I appreciate a good electric guitar solo though.

Most songs would sound better with blastbeats.

I've got a fever and the only prescription is more cowbell. :nerdy:

I like classical and Jazz and novelty songs and CCM (contemporary Christian music) and Elvis’ Gospel.
And some Broadway.
Unpopular enough for you?

I mostly listen to classical lately. I don’t think it’s intrinsically better or anything. It just speaks to me more, especially at this point of my life.
