Sketched this up to help a guy trying to develop a manga series:

Wildflower

I was inspired by psychedelic art, so I thought I'd give it a try. Note how I used a different paint stroke for each petal.

I drew this with a pen back in 2011. Like every other drawing I ever did, it was just a sketch I did in a few minutes. It was supposed to be Don Vito Corleone, but I did not remember Marlon Brando's face very well and in the end it looked more like Vincent Price.

Anyway, I have found it last week and I decided to take a photo and color it on MyPaint. As usual, I got bored before I finished it, resulting in a colored sketch of Don Vito Corleone. I suck at shading. And his face seems really wrong.

I made this for a new journal skin on deviantART.

^Meh. Would be more unique if instead you put on it a rainbow-colored snail-beast from Mars-5.

Another Imp. This one looks really different!

Also, a request for anyone willing to do it: Click on the link below and follow the instructions. That is all you have to do really, besides draw the result.

Tie-Dye Explosion

So I experimented with a new art app I got called Hue Paint, and it's got all these cool pychedelic colors and brushes, so I decided to use them to my advantage and make this. I had fun adding the colors, then blending them from the center.

If it's a commission, you have to pay someone to do it. You know that, right?

If it were a request, then you'd have nothing to worry about. ;)

Oops. I meant it was a request. SORRY!

Did you check that out, by the way?

^ I love both of those!

Image
My mother recently suggested to me that if I ever encounter an art block, I could break it by drawing other people's characters. As an exercise in this I have drawn fellow DA user DinoWrassler620's OC Fang the Tyrannosaurus Rex. I need to get back in the habit of drawing dinosaurs anyway.

[img][800:648]http://fc07.deviantart.net/fs70/f/2013/193/4/c/caribbean_queen_by_brandonspilcher-d6d4md4.png[/img]
An Afro-Caribbean beauty watches from the coast as a hungry pliosaur thrashes around a hapless plesiosaur.

I've named this drawing "Caribbean Queen" after the Billy Ocean song, but come to think of it, "Western Interior Seaway Queen" might be more appropriate (the Western Interior Seaway covered central North America during the Cretaceous Period).
