Alas my sketches never even make past figuring 95% of the time... even then I find something wrong with it later and chunk it.

Arigatou, Makayla.

On another note, here's a bit of artwork that I had commissioned @ SakuraCon 2013:
Image

It's not my artwork, but it's me, all 1980s-ified! The headphones are hooked up to a Sony cassette walkman, on that note, in keeping with the technology of the era.

Mystic Eyes

Thought I'd do some psychedelic art today. Started sketching out my pattern, then I added the rainbow colors. I added the eyes next, and added ink for the final touch.

Athena

Not the greek goddess, but drawing her I just felt like, her name was Athena, so it is! Drew her to test my new coloring pencils. I got a set of 12 woodless coloring pencils for $11. Not bad really.

It's for a contest.

For those who don't get it, this is the personification of Norway. Back during the beginning of the 20th century, butter was scarce in the Scandinavian countries. Norwegians would buy a pound of butter for up to seventy US dollars, and they were later mocked for it. Now there's a not very well known stereotype that Norwegians adore butter.

Not poking fun at anyone, just thought it would be kind of cute. :)

Stuff grows like crazy out here, with all the rainfall. All you have to do is bury the seed.

Ha, If things grew as voraciously here I would have started an orchard! :)

Sekhotep in her Palace
I drew and colored the Pharaoh onto a separate document before copying and pasting here onto this palace background. Here she is dressed for her regal duties, wearing the sacred leopard’s hide over her shoulder.

If you look closely at her crown you may notice that Sekhotep has an elephant’s head for her uraeus. I wanted some variation away from the usual cobra.
