I have with agree that the drawing in Makayla's new avatar is cool. Beautiful coloring job! Did you use colored pencils?
A humble peasant man from ancient Egypt. I drew his pose using a photo of South Sudanese tribesmen as a reference. The jewelry is my own design.
We tend to associate ancient Egypt with rich Pharaohs and Queens, but the statistical majority of Egyptian people were farmers living in little mud huts, as was the case with most pre-industrial civilizations.

^ Nicely done. I was watching a program earlier on the pyramids and the obelisks and theories of how they were built. Rather interesting, if you ask me.
I used watercolors and watercolor pencils on the painting. It was really fun to do.

Had I drawn this a few months ago, I would have emphasized this Pharaoh’s, uh, backside a lot more, but since I don’t want to be accused of over-sexualizing my black female characters anymore I’ve decided against that. I still like how her slender curves came out here though.
Man, I love drawing this character so much that she's become my default muse!
