Great performance, but I like this equally for the shots of the audience. There are quite a few TOTP clips from this period (early Spring 1973) that are in black and white, and I'm not sure why that was.

Another black and white TOTP performance from early 1973, probably from the same show as the earlier clip. This was the theme tune for The Protectors, an early 70s UK show starring Robert Vaughn and Nyree Dawn Porter. Christie had two big hits in 1971 with I Did What I Did For Maria and Is This The Way To Amarillo?, but the above release was less successful, and he more or less disappeared entirely from the chart scene afterwards.
