Anyone with even a very small amount of musical talent can make a catchy beat. It could be anyone singing over said beat. I'd give more credit to the guy making her beats or the guy composing her songs (I doubt she composes them herself).

Actually she does. She started as a composer/producer in the music industry. Its not some dude making the stuff. If you bothered to look into her more you would realize this. She went to Juliard. In reality she created an image/songs to be popular. She did it while being herself...and also presenting an absurdity. The more I looked into her, the more I liked her.

She's definitely to pop for my tastes, but I respect her because of how she got where she is. She's very smart, and basically fought her way to the top. She won't be popular forever, but I have a feeling her career is just beginning.

I'm so glad this forum took a turn. At first it was me and a bunch of haters. Shadfly I love the Paparazzi video and the VMA performance was MIND BLOWING. I've watched both of them more times than I can count. Paparazzi is also my favorite song of all time! I mean all time. I doubt I'll ever like a song as much as that one again but I hope I do.

Oh and whoever said she lipsyncs is WRONG...she never has and never will. Just watch Transmission Gagavision episode 40 on youtube. I would post it but I don't know how.

Very different, perhaps we'll see more of this in the future.

Only one week to the concert!! !

Shadfly, I really really loved those videos you posted of Gaga before she was famous. I watched both of them and I've heard the songs before but never saw a video of her performing them. My favorite part of the second video was when the lady said Nora Jones look out. Hahahaha right now she is the farthest thing from Nora Jones I can think of. Thank you for posting it! You should post again after the concert and tell me us how it was.

I am thoroughly obsessed, The Bad Romance video is the best video i have ever seen and i have very eclectic musical tastes, anything from Tori Amos to Rammstein. Interesting that Lady Gaga's reason for the fashion and face art is that she never fitted in at school and lived as an outcast amongst her peers....................sound familiar.

I was shocked rather than be obsessed by Lady Gaga.
Maybe someone was right, she must be the sister of Super Man.
That's why she always wear her underware outside.
Sorry, no offense. :P

I've watched her new video 32 times today in amongst rebuilding a garden bed and de-fleaing the dogs. It is seriously the best music video i have ever seen in 37 years. Before seeing this clip i was a fan but my respect for her as a visual artist and singer has just gone through the roof.

Nice to meet you...and yes it sounds very familiar. Maybe that's why I just immediately could relate to her from the first moment I saw her. The Bad Romance video is A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I don't even know how many times I've watched it. I'm impressed with you watching it over 30 times in one day though. I never counted. What's your favorite outfit she wore? Mine are the polar bear cape (which isn't real btw so o animals were harmed) and the outfit with the 12 inch heels. :D

Last.fm is recommending me Lady Gaga based on my high scrobbles of Ladyhawke and La Roux. I will check out her music and see whether I like her or not.
