Yep. I listen to Avantasia, Nightwish, Yngwie Malmsteen, Stratovarius, Sonata Arctica and others which are not clearly considered as metal, but have some sort of relate with it like Dream Theater, Muse.. ( I think they're more alternative rock, right?)
Well, I have more, but that's all I remember now.

Dream Theater is progressive metal, I think the same might be true for muse, but I'm not sure.

I'm a fan of metal. My favorite bands are DragonForce, Blind Guardian, Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Disturbed ( yes I consider them metal, I find them to be the closest to traditional heavy metal of all the 21st century metal bands), as well as some alternative metal like System of a Down and Breaking Benjamin.

Got it. I haven't actually heard of Muse, I just assumed they were another Progressive Metal band, I was mistaken.

Don't worry, that's the media labelling Muse as prog metal - which they clearly aren't. If you want to start on prog metal, it's Dream Theater, Queensryche, Fates Warning, Symphony X, Opeth or Porcupine Tree.
