I got a ton of new music for my birthday and Christmas:
Far Beyond Driven - Pantera
The Number of the Beast - Iron Maiden
Noctourniquet - The Mars Volta
Four - Bloc Party
Dark Adrenaline - Lacuna Coil
Weather Systems - Anathema
Oceania - Smashing Pumpkins
The 2nd Law - Muse
Nil Recurring - Porcupine Tree
British Steel - Judas Priest
Piece of Mind - Iron Maiden

But the last album I actually bought was a few months ago, when I got The Pineapple Thief's Tightly Unwound from the iTunes store.

MANTAS - Death By Metal demo compilation

The production is quite muddy and poor but it's interesting to have these roots of Death now on actual cd anyways.

I got 2 CDs: one is "Daniel Variations" by Steve Reich and the other is "The essential Philip Glass". I like the 1t one and am still exploring the 2nd. The 2nd has some terrible music.

I've been meaning to buy some Steve Reich.

I found some Phillip Glass at my local library, which I play when I need to concentrate with an uninterrupted, flowing soundtrack. I find the repetition calming.

Otherwise, I'm re-exploring my music library with Die Antwoord, Ellie Goulding, Adele, Paramore, Jason Mraz, and so.

If you want something seemingly repetitive, try "Music for 18 Musicians". It's very, very good. The other work I realy like is "Different Trains", interpreted by the Kronos Quartet. The CD comes with a bonus work which is "Electric Counterpoint" which is good.

I just bought the Aladdin soundtrack for my daughter, she's watched it every day this week, twice today and twice yesterday. Also bought the trilogy dvd set since we just had the original film on a VHS that's worn out.

I got Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox for Christmas.

Fugazi- 13 Songs
Fugazi- Red Medicine

Fugazi were formed in 1987 by former Minor Threat frontman Ian MacKaye. They're one of the most influential bands of the post-hardcore era and recognised as the first Emo band, even though their music and image bears almost no resemblance to modern Emo/Scene bands. In the late 80s/early 90s "Emo" had a much broader definition than it does today!

I have yet to hear any good "emo" band...although there was a time I enjoyed Trust Company. Ditched them because his singing was too damn soft though.

If they had more songs like Downfall...

I Hate Sally on the way within the fortnight! Looking forward to that.

I received Cat Stevens' 'Matthew And Son' not very long ago; it was a wise purchase.

The D.O.A show was insane, glad I got to see them for their farewell tour.

The other day:
IMPALED NAZARENE - Suomi Finland Perkele cd

Good cross between their older and newer styles. Could be my favourite album of theirs if it holds up. :)
