Why are death metal fans so narrow minded?

And again, I don't see any reason to distinguish metalcore from metal as I consider it a subgenre of metal, might as well say death metal isn't metal. Yeah, some metalcore has fairly little to do with metal, but that's because genres are fuzzy.


I suppose the closest I can see it being to metal is a fusion genre of hardcore and metal that stands on it's own, and to me it makes most sense to consider other core stuff to be subgenres of metalcore. Basically I think metalcore is distinct enough to be it's own genre rather than being a subgenre of hardcore or metal. But that is just my perspective doesn't really matter if others see it differently or not, since at the end of the day all that matters is the music not what kind it is.
