I like The Monkeys. :)

The Monkeys were a deliberate clone of the Beatles for TV. So if you like the Monkeys you should like the Beatles (ofcourse some children who are raised on instant mashed potatoes cant handle real potatoes).

The TV network DID hire some of the best songwriters of the time to pen their music though like Neil Diamond.

The strange thing is, that only a few Beatles songs I like. I find Mammas and Pappas to be in a league above, and Cyndi Lauper... WoW! Even the ones I wasn't keen on she sings in a beautiful way.
Yes. I like some of the Beatles songs. But a few were a bit... Uhmmm. Not my fish of the kettle.

Oops... I mean... I prefer the Beatles earlier records I think. :)

Has anybody felt that Beatles' (including their works after their breakup) musical genius has (however briefly) transcended some aspects of the Autism Spectrum?

The Autism Spectrum presents challenges in understanding emotions. Listening to the Beatles' music seems to (however briefly) transcend these challenges with emotions.

that is fascinating :study: can you describe what specific phenomena is happening in their music that helps you this way?

Sorry, musical genius cannot be put to words - as to how such music specifically influences us - we just let it happen without being overly analytical!

Don't like their early stuff at all, quite like their later stuff though. Also think George Harrison is very underrated. All Things Must Pass is probably my favourite Beatles related album.

from a technical standpoint, i was rather disappointed with the 2016 remaster of the beatles live at the hollywood bowl CD, they ballyhooed about how they used computer science [MATLAB] to "de-scream" it but it turns out that after removing the screaming and re-EQing/re-balancing the band, they added the bloody blinkin' screams back in for the most part! a measly 3 DB net reduction from what i read.

I agree. He's my favorite of the four, and his post-Beatles work, both as part of the Traveling Wilburys and alone, is incredible. I've been listening to "All Those Years Ago" and "End of the Line" constantly.

On a related note, if you had to name one post-Beatles track by any of them as your favorite, which would it be and why?

I don't think I could be an Atheist if for no other reason than My Sweet Lord is one of the most wonderful songs in music.

We need a George thread.

How could I forget?

Also, shouts out to Dhani Harrison, whom I finally saw live!

Are you familiar at all with his appearance on Rutland Weekend Television? He played an... interesting variation of "My Sweet Lord."
