Oh well right now, I am just choosing the instruments, so I am very early on. But when it comes to certain sounds, I am having a hard time finding samples to match to purchase, because I need to know more about if the instruments are real samples, or synthesized first, of course.

I wouldn't really know, sorry. I've sample vinyl, CDs, used Pirate Bay, used cracked copies of programs and VSTs, used microphones, basically done it all for free.
Native instruments make a virtual sampler called Kontact, they pay producers to make kits and instruments, and there will be thousands of hi fidelity freebies, all I'd go that way personally.
