"The idea of freedom is inspiring. But what does it mean? If you are free in a political sense but have no food, what's that? Freedom to starve?"

"It's not Autism, it's material."

I was at lunch with my wife and her 95 year old dad. Charlie was wiping his face. The napkin covered his head. Thinking of the toddler game I said WHERE is Charlie? I then realized it was misplaced and said "It's not Autism it's Material. She laughed and said "You should use that."
Her dad laughed too.

never chase love, affection or attention. if they aren't given freely by another person, they aren't worth having.

never respond to rudeness. rude people are revealing who they are, not who you are. don't take it personally, remain silent and stoic.

"I don't know how to put this, but... I'm kind of a big deal... People know me... I'm very important. I have many leather-bound books, and my apartment smells of rich mahogany."

wealth doesn't "trickle down" in the manner that righties believe it does [i.e., the rich get so much extra change in their pockets that some falls out onto the floor where the beggars are at to pick it all up]- rather, this actual kind of "trickle down economics" consists of the convective currents of taxation causing money to evaporate up to the IRS cloud where the prevailing political winds cause some of it to scatter back down here and there.

"But very quickly I discovered that passing didn't just mean slipping below the surface, it meant being buried alive. I was still me on the inside, trapped in there with all my wounds and fears. But I was no longer me on the outside."

Things may come and things may go
Some go fast and some go slow
Few things last that's all I know
But Friendship carries on through the ages.
