I don't know which mod fixed my pictures, but thank you. I'm not all that bright when it comes the Internet, but now I know how to do the pictures without them being distorted. And also thank you for your nice comment about my pens.

Thank you for the nice complement Makayla. That pinstriped one is actually one of my first pens and also one of my favorites. The material is acrylic resin with gunmetal fittings. I used Schmidt Technology's ceramic rollerball insert and it writes as good as it looks, buttery smooth. For the Celtic Pen what I carved it from is 4000-year-old ancient bog oak from the UK. As the name implies, it is oak that was preserved by being submerged in a bog. Over many centuries the wood absorbed the minerals from the bog and thus the deep rich brown color that you would not normally find in oak. The fittings are "weathered" to give the pen somewhat of a pewter look that I think complements the wood very well. I used Schmidt Technology's amazing EasyFLOW9000 hybrid refill insert that actually writes better than the ceramic rollerball insert.

My pleasure.
You know, I could almost consider committing a criminal act to own #3, #5 or #7
Outstanding work; well done.

No problem!

Please tell me you have an etsy store or something. I'm dying to have the celtic knot one. :D

No criminal act required  . My father snatched up the curly mango and chrome pen (number five) as soon as he saw it. If you are interested in the chrome and copper bolt action pen with African rosewood, (number three) or the sterling silver and gold titanium with acrylic resin (number seven), just PM me and we can work something out that will keep you out of jail

Hey thank you guys for all your nice comments. I've been working on a website that I'm hoping it will be ready in about a week or two. Also I will be looking into putting some of them up on Etsy in the near future, but I've really been focusing on my website. I'm just really amazed about the positive reactions My pens have evoked. I never expected it. I have complete strangers approaching me and starting conversations just from seeing me use my pens or wearing them on my shirt collar. They've really helped me gain social confidence, although I still have a long way to go. I was really nervous about posting them here because I thought people would tell me they don't belong on the art forum. I'll post some more of the pens that I've made. When I get my store up and running I'm going to give my WP brothers and sisters a huge discount, but I'm not sure how I'll handle the coupon codes yet. I'll figure it out.

Not all of my pens work out. Sometimes I work hours on a pen in my material shatters or chips beyond repair. Here is a picture of a couple of them, but they are by no means the only ones that I've had to toss in the scrap bin.

Image

There is a picture of some of the material that I work with in its raw form. Some of them are wood others are cast resins, while some are reconstituted stone. The one on the bottom is a laminated wood piece using Purple Heart, walnut, and Maple. Those are the natural wood colors, they are not dyed.

Image

I wish I had a better camera, but I just can't afford one right now. My camera really doesn't do these pens, justice. It doesn't capture the colors totally accurately and there's really no way for me to convey the depth and the Pearlessence or the beautiful grains in the wood. In this photo from top to bottom:

"Omelette"- this is a beautiful yellow acrylic with Pearl Mica. I used gunmetal fittings That contrast with the bright yellow to really make it pop. I used a steel nib with the gold gilt and an iridium tip. It is a #5 fine point, and it writes smooth as silk. Just a joy to write with.

"Opals"- this pen is made from black acrylic with some multicolored acrylic chips embedded during the casting process. The fittings are black and gold titanium and are extremely durable as well as beautiful. This photo doesn't capture the clip all that well, but you may be able to see the Swarovski Crystal in the clip. I have used a Schmidt technologies EasyFlow 9000 hybrid refill in this pen. This is my favorite refill and it writes like nothing else I've ever used. It just glides across paper and does not streak at all.

"Miami Vice"- blue and pink pearlescent acrylic complemented with platinum plated and ebonite fittings. This is a twist pen with a very smooth mechanism. All of my pens are much heavier than the cheap pens you would find at a store and this is one of my heavier pens. The refill that I used in this pen is a Parker style ballpoint also made by Schmidt technologies of Germany.

WIP of a Lotus Esprit. Couldn't find any useful blueprints for the first generation Esprit (and particularly not with submarine gear), so I had to look at pictures and model it from my working memory. :)
