From the second Tyrannosaurus Rex album, Prophets Seers and Sages, The Angels of the Ages, 1968. The song title is misspelt on the YouTube clip, it's actually 'Conesuala'. Classic Marc Bolan from his early hippy period.

This is from the other 1968 Tyrannosaurus Rex album My People Were Fair And Had Sky In Their Hair, But Now They're Content To Wear Stars On Their Brows. It was released as a single too, though without much success.

One of the better tracks from the 'My People Were Fair....' album, 1968.

The group was still 'Tyrannosaurus Rex' at this point, by the way.

Astonishing track from the Unicorn album, 1969. Marc Bolan's musical partner in Tyrannosaurus Rex from 1967 to 1969 was Steve Took, a period in which they released three albums. Took played the percussion parts, and provides the backing vocals on this song and numerous others.

He left the band in acrimonious circumstances in late summer of 1969 after a tour of America. This piece from the New Musical Express sheds a fair bit of light on the matter: https://www.stevetook.mercurymoon.co.uk ... me-72.html

Took choked to death on a cherry stone in the Autumn of 1980, apparently when under the influence of some psychedelic drug or other. RIP.

This was released as a single some time in the summer of 1969, the first and only track, as far as I'm aware, that featured an electric guitar in the Steve Took era. Somewhat limited and repetitive maybe, but at the same time very powerful and memorable.

Despite what the YouTube graphic might suggest, this did not appear on the 'Unicorn' album.
