This is the concert that made me get into them. I stumbled upon it and become interested.

Then i found out he had aspergers. And his strangeness all made sense.

I love Talking Heads, and David Byrne solo.

This is my favorite track by them:

Listening & watching.

I don't have Schizophrenia, but I know someone who does.

They follow you around on the internet, interpreting your posts and then hear your voice in their head & think you have said something to them and then blame you for their own thoughts about you.

Scary.

People are allowed to talk about anyone on the internet as long as it is anonymous & doesn't mention real life details about you. Your consequent thoughts about that person and interpretations are your own - not theirs.

These are a fair representation of what my life is like dealing with the sensory world except that I have to be the responsible parent and accomplish things, instead of being the child who can eventually stay home with others meeting their needs.

Caution: Visual and auditory triggers

I had tooth some cavities few years ago, that i had neglected, (i avoided going to the dentist and it caught up with me) i started getting intermittent tinuitis signals in my ear, my tmj was effected, kinda sore. As soon as i had fillings, it all went away. But if i'm tired, exhausted had a bunch of junk food, not looking after myself really, i can sometimes get a slight buzz (tinitus).

Also earphones in public spaces can have a calming effect. I have these, they offer some noise cancellation. Plus they are high-end near professional studio grade.

I don't have visual sensory disorientation problems. Not anything that would impact me in any meaningful sense.

Thanks.

My problem is I have misophonia with small / quiet sounds, and I'm hyper-vigilant so I need to hear big sounds.

In other words, I need the small sounds blocked but not the loud sounds, or I'd have a panic attack from feeling too vulnerable with my hearing blocked.

I've yet to find any noise-cancellers that can do that.

I sleep in earplugs to block ambient noise from waking me, but the earplugs amplify my tinnitus.

It sucks no matter which way you slice it.
