Everyone needs to see this movie if they want to understand what it is like to be an imposing black man with a gentle nature. A 'gentle giant'.

I saw it not long after it came out, in 2001 I believe, 2 years after its release in 1999.

Everything about the man I could identify with. It was me. My whole life I had been beaten, both physically & mentally and then blamed for my own misfortune.

Another pariah of the black community - Michael Jackson. Betrayed by his own fellow black people.

My personal thoughts are that he was sexually abused as a child & then sought out children to be near them and to prove that he wasn't the same as his abusers, but then got crucified by the media and other white folk for doing so, and they crucified him because of their bigotry and racism.

He bleached his skin to symbolize the pain of being black.
