Merry Christmas, everyone! 
I like how his love is called 'Holly', symbolising Christmas 'holly' (very 'holy'). Also, the protagonist in this movie is called John, a disciple of Jesus. Her hair is ginger-brown.
John gets his ass kicked off of a great height, into the freezing snow, and then a flaming hot ball of fire engulfs the place/plane where he was kicked out of. 
The trail of fire took six years to reach the plane, in God time.
