Yeah, I like Britney. Not so much her music...Just the fact she's hot.. But, I like this song of hers...ever since I heard it, back in .Like 2003.
I like the original too. Bobby brown.
I like it. I like the message. Its a funky attitudinal 80s tune, showing the importance of expressing yourself, in the face of stilted conformity and playerhatin naysayers. "This world is a trip , I don't know what's goin on these days...." Bobby clearly feeling the pressure of superstardom at such a young age... Also the fact he's african american in a white dominated society, is only adding on his stress, "Everybody's talkin' all this stuff about me Why don't they just let me live?" Which he so eloquently expresses in the song. Also affirms the importance of internal locus of control, and internally directed decisions. "I don't need permission, make my own decisions " And not relying on external validation, from a antiquated external power heriachry, that in bobbys own personal experience is blatantly oppressive and destructive. "Some ask me questions, why am I so real?" Bobby affirming importance of integrity , and speaking truth, even if negative consequences or repercussions. Just an all round noble message. That is about personal empowerment and self determination.
:) Nice Patrick Bateman impression...huh? But i stand by my interpretation, that part is serious.

STP have a good heavy sound. I like how the guitars just sound all encompassing in the mix, the tone.

I started listening to Bush the other day. I find they have a pretty grungy sound, I considered them kinda mainstream, came along at a weird time in the mid 90's.
I don't know what i'd call them a mix of....Maybe aerosmith, blacksabbath and metallica lol .... I dont really know much about them. Pearl jam meets incubus, maybe. I know they're considered Nirvana imitators by some. Style is slightly reminiscent of Kurt.
