This is the 1961 song that is widely believed to have been the inspiration for the Marc Bolan composition 'Jeepster' in 1971. You can clearly see the resemblance in the first few lines, but to call the latter a 'wholesale rip', as one critic did in the early 1990s is surely taking things a bit far?
