As an old T Rex fan from the early 1970s, it feels almost treacherous to post a Slade song from that era, but the truth is that both bands were on a downward slope by late 1973. This song sticks in my memory though as a very decent number.

Here's the other song from Slade's late 1973 album Old New Borrowed and Blue that sticks in my memory. That's Kenny Everett introducing the performance, lol.

Here are Slade at their peak in early 1973. This BBC 'Top of the Pops' performance only seems to have been preserved via a German TV recording, as on so many occasions. The drummer Don Powell soon afterwards suffered serious head injuries from a road accident and had neurological issues for at least a good few months thereafter.
